Face \u00e0 l\u2019enjeu de sant\u00e9 majeur que repr\u00e9sentent la maladie d\u2019Alzheimer et les maladies apparent\u00e9es en Belgique, nous nous sommes associ\u00e9s aux A.S.B.L.s Alzheimer Belgique<\/a> et Baluchon Alzheimer<\/a> afin d’unir nos forces et nos ressources dans l\u2019objectif de faire parler de ces maladies et d\u2019am\u00e9liorer le quotidien des patients et de leurs proches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous sommes donc enthousiastes \u00e0 l\u2019id\u00e9e de vous annoncer la pr\u00e9paration de notre seconde \u00e9dition de notre tournoi de golf caritatif \u00ab Ensemble Pour Alzheimer \u00bb.<\/strong> Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement se tiendra le lundi 22 avril aux Golf Club des 7 Fontaines<\/a> \u00e0 Braine l\u2019Alleud. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente, l’\u00e9v\u00e9nement a permis de r\u00e9colter pr\u00e8s de 12.000 euros au profit de nos associations engag\u00e9es face \u00e0 la maladie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faisons le point sur les aides mises en place par nos associations.

Un accompagnement des personnes malades et de leurs proches<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philippe Meeus, Pr\u00e9sident de l\u2019ASBL Alzheimer Belgique est cat\u00e9gorique : \u00ab Tant qu\u2019un m\u00e9dicament ne sera pas d\u00e9couvert pour stopper l\u2019\u00e9volution de la maladie, il est essentiel de prendre en consid\u00e9ration l\u2019accompagnement des personnes malades et de leurs proches. Il n\u2019est pas admissible que l\u2019absence de th\u00e9rapeutique m\u00e9dicamenteuse conduise \u00e0 confier aux seuls aidants proches la responsabilit\u00e9 de g\u00e9rer le quotidien des malades.<\/em> \u2026 \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans les faits, 70% des personnes malades vivent \u00e0 domicile, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement avec l\u2019aide d\u2019un proche aidant. Aussi le soutien des personnes malades et de leurs proches avec des solutions concr\u00e8tes de proximit\u00e9 et un environnement soutenant sont indispensables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depuis 1985, au sein de l\u2019ASBL Alzheimer Belgique, nous guidons les familles tout au long de leur parcours, nous mettons en place au domicile des personnes malades un r\u00e9seau d\u2019aides adapt\u00e9es, nous formons les aidants \u00e0 appr\u00e9hender les cons\u00e9quences de la maladie et \u00e0 prendre soin d\u2019eux et nous sensibilisons le grand public pour changer le regard sur les maladies neurod\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un r\u00e9pit \u00e0 domicile et un accompagnement personnalis\u00e9 pour les familles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depuis 2003, l\u2019ASBL Baluchon Alzheimer offre un service de r\u00e9pit \u00e0 domicile pour les familles dont un des proches est atteint de la maladie d\u2019Alzheimer (ou d\u00e9mence apparent\u00e9e). La \u00ab baluchonneuse \u00bb remplace l\u2019aidant proche durant une p\u00e9riode de r\u00e9pit et veille \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 et \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de la personne atteinte, et ce dans son propre environnement de vie, 24h\/24 (min. 3 jours \u00e0 max. 8 jours en continu). L\u2019objectif vis\u00e9 est de maintenir la personne atteinte de plus longtemps possible \u00e0 domicile, tout en maintenant la qualit\u00e9 de vie des familles, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un accompagnement personnalis\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Service innovant dans son approche globale de la personne atteinte, Baluchon r\u00e9pond \u00e0 la fois au besoin de l\u2019aidant (de faire une pause) ainsi qu\u2019au besoin de la personne atteinte (de rester dans son environnement de vie). \u00ab N\u00e9anmoins, d\u2019importants d\u00e9fis demeurent<\/em> \u00bb, pr\u00e9cise son pr\u00e9sident Werner Cautreels \u00ab afin de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la demande potentiellement importante des familles et de d\u00e9finir des trajectoires de remboursement \u00e0 un niveau ad\u00e9quat pour tous, <\/em>tout en garantissant un b\u00e9n\u00e9fice soci\u00e9tal positif pour l\u2019\u00e9conomie de la sant\u00e9 \u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la recherche, l\u2019espoir de nouvelles avanc\u00e9es<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lucie Leroux, responsable de la Fondation Stop Alzheimer r\u00e9v\u00e8le que : \u00ab En Belgique, une personne sur cinq et m\u00eame une femme sur trois d\u00e9veloppera une forme de d\u00e9mence. Alors, face \u00e0 cet enjeu de sant\u00e9 majeur, nous \u0153uvrons activement \u00e0 la promotion de la recherche scientifique en Belgique. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depuis 1995 la Fondation Stop Alzheimer finance, gr\u00e2ce au soutien de ses donateurs dont elle est 100% d\u00e9pendante, la recherche fondamentale afin de pr\u00e9server la possibilit\u00e9 de parvenir \u00e0 stopper Alzheimer mais \u00e9galement la recherche dite psycho-sociale. \u00ab Faute de traitement curatif disponible \u00e0 ce jour, <\/em>ces projets de recherche psycho-sociale sont d\u2019une importance capitale car ils visent \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper de nouvelles formes de th\u00e9rapies et d\u2019accompagnements permettant d\u2019am\u00e9liorer d\u00e8s aujourd\u2019hui le quotidien des milliers de patients atteints de la maladie d\u2019Alzheimer ou d\u2019une forme de d\u00e9mence apparent\u00e9e \u00bb<\/em> d\u00e9veloppe le directeur de la Fondation Stop Alzheimer.Au total, la Fondation a permis de financer 250 projets en Belgique pour un montant total de plus de 32,6 millions d\u2019euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N\u00e9anmoins, malgr\u00e9 l\u2019engagement de nos associations et notre volont\u00e9 d\u2019unir nos ressources pour mieux aider les patients et leurs proches, il existe un besoin urgent d\u2019actions de la part des pouvoirs publics. Aujourd\u2019hui, nos associations ne per\u00e7oivent quasiment pas d\u2019aides financi\u00e8res de la part des autorit\u00e9s et peinent \u00e0 financer leurs activit\u00e9s, pourtant primordiales, et \u00e0 faire face \u00e0 une demande grandissante. Par le biais de ce type d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nements organis\u00e9s en commun, nous esp\u00e8rons amener \u00e0 une plus large prise de conscience de la probl\u00e9matique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
